The year 2008 will see the completion of works vital to the Jubilee
- The renovation of the entire audiovisual system in the Underground Basilica of St. Pius X. In future, this basilica will be suitable for all pilgrimages.
- The creation of the Way of the Cross for sick pilgrims on the Prairie. Even if the location and positioning is not definitive, at least there is now an alternative for those pilgrims with reduced mobility, who were unable to access the Way of the Cross on the Espélugues hill. The new Stations are a monumental work in Carrara marble by the artist Maria Faykod, and they take the genre forward.
- The reorganization of the taps. In spring, 2006, these were moved in order to prevent some of the noise from reaching the Grotto. This winter they will be supported by a stone wall, which should harmonize with the stone of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. Along the top of the wall will run a stream of water, protected by glass. It will highlight the direct flow of water from the spring at the Grotto to the taps.
- The completion of the Mysteries of Light, designated by Pope John-Paul II in 2002, on the façade of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. These mosaics, the work of the artist Ivan Rupnik, will mean that the building will be the first to display all 4 series of the Mysteries of the Rosary. The Basilica, therefore, will continue to deserve its name.
