Asking someone to pray for you can be a really difficult and really vulnerable thing to do. If we ask for prayers at all, it’s usually to a close friend, a family member, someone we know and trust.
But the truth is that we need the prayers of others. Oftentimes more than we realize, especially now as we near the end of a second full year of a worldwide pandemic.
In March 2020, the historic National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton in Maryland launched a hotline that people could call if they needed prayers. Since then, thousands of people have called.
