The Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue will release on Friday, October 20th a “manual” for dialogue between the Catholic Church and other religions according to the teaching of the II Vatican Council and Pope John Paul II.
The manual, entitled “Interreligious Dialogue in the official teachings of the Catholic Church from the II Vatican Council to John Paul II (1963-2005),” will be made public at a press conference held also on the occasion of the Pontifical Council’s message to Muslims for the end of Ramadan, the holy period of fasting for Muslims around the world.
The press conference will be attended by Cardinal Paul Poupard, President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, and Msgr. Khaled Akashed, Director for the dialogue with Islam.
