Mexico City, Mexico, Mar 2, 2009 / 16:13 pm
The Bishops’ Conference of Mexico has launched the 2009 Charity Campaign, “The Faces of Poverty,” in all the dioceses of the country to encourage Mexicans to “put charity and justice at the center of the Christian life.”
The campaign is being organized by Caritas Mexico and is also intended to “rouse evangelical compassion, the witness of charity and the commitment to justice.”
The bishops said they hope to reach Mexican Catholics at all ecclesial levels and all men and women of good will.
