The Diocese of Orlando, Florida will host its first-ever Festival of Faith on May 8-10. Venturing into the digital world, Orlando Bishop Thomas Wenski filmed a YouTube video urging Catholics to take part in the “vibrant and multi-cultural event designed to inspire, enlighten and energize all members of Christ’s faithful.”
The diocese is expecting thousands of Catholics to participate in the “historic event” that “will be a celebration of the Diocese of Orlando’s 40th anniversary in our proclaimed ‘Year of Evangelization.’”
Bishop Wenski describes the festival as having “Majestic liturgies, mesmerizing music, energizing speakers, a dynamic youth program, exciting exhibits about our Catholic faith and faith-enriching activities”.
The Festival of Faith will take place on May 8-10, 2008 at the Orange County Convention Center.
