The Apostolic Nuncio to Germany, Archbishop Jean-Claude Perisset said this week Pope Benedict XVI may visit the country in November of 2009 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The possible papal visit on the historic date could serve as a sign for German unity and an impulse for ecumenical dialogue in Berlin, where Catholics have been reduced to a minority.
