If Catholic parents are successful in passing along the faith and the desire for holiness to their children, the promise of Jesus that the gates of hell shall not prevail will be greater than merely several Christians hiding under a rock for His second coming.
It might be a hyperbole, but it is not too great a one. Today's Catholic parents know that gone is the social consensus of basic decency. They must either raise authentic Catholics, or they will not succeed in preparing kids for the “brave new world.”
