Pope Benedict’s brother, Msgr. Georg Ratzinger, was admitted to Gemelli Hospital in Rome last night with irregularities in his heartbeat. Doctors assessed his health and decided to implant a pacemaker, announced Joaquín Navarro-Valls, director of the Holy See Press Office.
He said doctors were satisfied with the procedure, and the Pope’s older brother is expected to be released from hospital soon.
